RISE WHICH WAY INC.

Rise Which Way Inc: SERVICES

ESSENTIALS PACK

When released the released prisoners can come to us at Moorooka and we will give them an essentials pack with include, toiletries, fresh jocks and socks, important numbers booklet, go card and food voucher.

ID PROGRAM

 RWWINC recognises the need to streamline the process of obtaining identification documents during this crucial time. We understand that without a valid ID, individuals face significant challenges in securing employment, accessing services, and reintegrating into society. By addressing this barrier, we can empower released prisoners to make positive choices and successfully transition back into the community.

ART HUB

 It is unfortunate that many Aboriginal people find their talent for painting while in  prison and do not pick up a brush again until they return to prison.  Our art hub provides all the materials in a safe and supportive environment for Aboriginal people to express themselves through art.  And the end of the year we would like to display the artwork. Organising our own art gallery to showcase their paintings, involve the people displaying their paintings in the organising process.

YOUTH

Our focus is on empowering the youth to live an engaged and law-abiding life, Our youth Programs Are Dedicated to Helping Adolescents and Teens Work Through Behavioral Or

Emotional Difficulties, Building Trusting Relationships with Their Family and Peers, we support young Aboriginals who have been involved in the criminal justice system or are at risk of being involved in it. Our services support Aboriginal youth to gain the life skills they need to disrupt anti-social or offending behavior, to access meaningful employment, and help them to recognise that they are valued members of the community. Our programs engage Elders. Elders ‘use their cultural authority to help strengthen family ties and remind them of their cultural and family responsibilities within their communities.

Hidden histories and Smokin Ceremony Jaalu Jarjums:

 Our smoking ceremony is all about the Jarjums. It enhances participants’ connection to  culture; we are working with community, using a co-design approach, to create sustainable  culturally appropriate practices. It supports the re-establishment of crucial links to  community and culture; which can also restore relationships with friends, family and peers;
